Four Ways for Guitar, mpmp editions front cover

Four Ways was made for the IV Edition of the International Competition Prize Fernando Lopes-Graça in 2014. At the time the piece did not win any price. On 2015, mpmp accepted my proposal to have a professional edition.  Today, Four Ways is one of my published pieces.

In 2016, Fábio Fernandes, a Guitar player from Portugal, student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, in London, asked me to play Four Ways. The première was in the Academia de Música de Viana do Castelo in Portugal, on the 20th of April 2017. Since then Fábio has presented Four Ways in several music halls, as for example Lecture and Recital Room of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Four Ways, work in progress, 2016

Fábio Fernandes, has performed Four Ways in different places, between Portugal and England, making each performance the best performance of Four Ways I have ever heard.

This work is in four movements, four doors, four different journeys. Fábio is capable to engage the audience with the journey and to highlight all the different stages on it. This piece did not win the competition in 2014, but other prizes were reserved for Four Ways.
